Richardson Masonic Lodge #1214:

Brethren,
Richardson Lodge has been very busy the last
few weeks. We presented the Lamar Award to
four students, one from each of the four
Richardson High Schools. The honorees and
their families were excited and grateful. It
is wonderful for Richardson Lodge to be able
to help support the young adults and soon to
be college students of our community.
We
further showed our support for the
Richardson community by serving breakfast to
the police and firefighters of Richardson on
April 24th. I would like to thank
all the brethren who helped and
participated, especially Brother Frank Todd
and Brother Jeff Smith, who organized and
led the event. We had several members of the
city council attend as well.
The
city council returned to Richardson Lodge
when we presented the Community Builder to
the Superintendant of RISD, who is retiring
after an immensely successful career. We
were also joined by most of the school board
as well.
We
hosted a tea for the widows of our fallen
brethren on April 17th at Mary
Ellen’s Tea Room. Roughly a dozen ladies
joined us and had a grand time.
If
you wish to brush up on your memory work or
learn a part for a degree, please join us on
any Tuesday evening other than the first of
the month. Thank you and I look forward to
seeing you on Tuesday nights.
